Stitch-n-Things started as a small home-based hobby business where my husband and I made craft items for local Craft Markets and EBay.
In February 2007, my husband suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and luckily survived, which gave us both a totally new outlook on life. Up till that time, we were happy to plod along at our own pace and see what happened. Since then, with this new outlook of ours, we decided to take our small business and turn it into Internet Sales and Party Plan.

My husband makes rustic and country timber-ware. None of his items are the heavily varnished type that you see in shops, they are truly rustic. He is always coming up with new ideas for items and because of that, we have quite a lot of timber items in our home, which are then decorated with some of my own home-made or bought knick-knacks.

My area of the business consists of quilts, dolls, wall-hangings, cushions and anything else that takes my fancy. My love of Craft probably came from my sister, Stella. For as long as I can remember she has made one sort of craft or other. In the early years, all I could do was knit or crochet, which was fine with me. Later on, she gave me a sewing machine, which I was thrilled about, and then promptly used it as a door-stop in my laundry for a number of years before finally getting the courage to learn how to use it.

There was my first foray in to sewing crafts. I decided I wanted to be a 'Quilter' and bought my self a pattern and fabrics along with all the other paraphernalia to get me started. I made my first quilt, which was 9 blocks and about 24" x12". That took me 6 months to complete.

Since then, however, my love for quilts, dolls and other craft turned into a passion and I then found my love for country style crafts and decorating. And so, Stitch-n-Things was born.

I hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy bringing them to you. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries about anything on our site, or if you live in Adelaide, South Australia and would like to book a Craft afternoon with us.
